ETFSetups
Why we built this

We got tired of losing to ourselves.

Most traders don't fail because they can't find good stocks. They fail because they can't execute the good ideas they already have. We know, because that was us for years.

We could read a chart. We understood trend, risk, position sizing, regimes, expectancy, all of it. We could explain the rules to anyone. And then a position would start moving, and the rules would quietly evaporate. We'd cut a winner at +2% because a red candle scared us. We'd slide a stop down to "give it room" and turn a small loss into a real one. We'd take a marginal setup out of boredom and be capital-locked when the clean one finally fired.

The spreadsheet told the whole story. Cut winners short. Hold losers too long. Force trades in chop. Override the exits. Repeat. After enough years, the uncomfortable truth stopped being avoidable: the missing ingredient was never knowledge. It was self-control under pressure.

So we stopped trying to become more disciplined through willpower, which never worked, and built a system that doesn't need any. We spent the time to define the regime that has to be in place, the screens that reject the marginal setups, and the exit ladder that books partials and lets runners run without us touching anything. Then we tested it the honest way: built it on one window of history, proved it on a later window it had never seen, and kept only the rules that survived both. Most didn't.

ETF Setups is what came out of that. It's not a guru, a watchlist, or another indicator. It's the discipline we couldn't summon on our own, turned into rules that run whether we're calm or rattled. We publish every trade, the losers and the red months included, because after a decade of being sold cherry-picked screenshots, the only thing we trust is the full record. We figured you're the same.

If you already know how to trade and you're tired of being the reason it doesn't work, this was built for you.

What we believe

A few non-negotiables.

Transparency over claims

Every trade visible, losers included. Trust is earned by showing the whole record, not the highlights.

Process over prediction

We don't forecast. We follow rules. Consistency comes from the process, not from being right about the future.

Fewer, better trades

Restraint is the edge. We'd rather reject two-thirds of candidates than drown you in marginal ones.

Risk first

Every position has a defined stop before it has a target. Survival comes before upside, always.

Built for real lives

End-of-day, not all-day. The system fits around a career and a family, not the other way around.

No hype, ever

No Lamborghinis, no lifestyle marketing, no win-rate fantasies. The work speaks. You're smart enough to tell the difference.

See the record. Judge for yourself.

Every trade is on the table, before you pay a cent.
